I started skiing in 2017 and fell for it completely. Beyond the beauty of the snow-covered landscape, riding lets you set everything else aside and be entirely in the moment; and as you gradually get on top of it, a quiet sense of achievement builds and you start to believe that you really can do this. How I think about skiing: safety first — know the limits of your own ability and never push for a moment's thrill; and with the right technique, riding becomes easier and more relaxed.
