Getting there and getting around
Getting there and getting around
There are several ways to travel from New Chitose Airport to the Niseko area, and comparing timetables and routes yourself is not easy. We can arrange a private car transfer from the airport, or book the direct airport-to-resort bus for you, matched to your flight, your accommodation and the resort you are taking lessons at. Once you are here, the Niseko United Shuttle links the resorts and the accommodation, and we will give you clear advice on which service to take and where to get off, based on where you are staying and what each day's skiing looks like.

Finding and booking accommodation in Niseko
Finding and booking accommodation in Niseko
Niseko has a wide choice of places to stay, from ski-in/ski-out hotels and Japanese onsen inns to apartment-style accommodation that suits a family. We help you shortlist and book based on group size, budget and the kind of atmosphere you want: guests who want quiet, with onsen and a Japanese feel, are pointed towards Annupuri; guests who want restaurants, shops and nightlife are pointed towards Hirafu. If being able to ski straight onto the mountain in the morning matters to you, we will look at ski-in/ski-out hotels first and line your accommodation up with the resort you are taking lessons at.

Equipment Rental and Purchase Assistance
Equipment Rental and Purchase Assistance
Equipment size, board flex and the choice between skis and a snowboard all affect how comfortable and secure a lesson feels. We contact our partner rental shops or the rental desk in your hotel to arrange the rental, and advise on the set-up from your level and your build; on the day, your instructor can also check on the hill that the equipment is adjusted correctly. If your accommodation has its own rental shop, as some hotels do, we will arrange pick-up and return there to save you the trip. If you would like us to buy or pay on your behalf, a platform handling fee or service fee applies and will be advised when you book; where we only help with the reservation and do not handle payment, there is no additional charge.

Lift passes and trip support
Lift passes and trip support
Lift passes in Niseko come as a single-resort pass, a shared pass covering Hirafu and Hanazono, and an all-mountain pass covering the four resorts; Niseko and Rusutsu also offer points cards that suit a short stay. We advise on the right pass from the resort you are taking lessons at, how long you are staying and your level — for one or two days of lessons, the pass for that resort is usually enough; for a longer stay where you want to explore other resorts yourself, the all-mountain pass is worth considering. Complete beginners do not need to rush to buy a pass before the lesson: your instructor will first check that you can get on and off the lift safely, then help you choose. In some cases we can buy on your behalf; online passes require payment at the time, so we take the ticket cost from you first and buy once it has cleared, with the platform handling fee advised when you book.

Choosing the right resort, and the right combination
Choosing the right resort, and the right combination
Niseko is not one resort but a group of areas including Hirafu, Annupuri and Hanazono; we can also arrange Rusutsu and Kiroro. Choosing the right one makes a real difference to how smoothly a trip runs, and it is the question we are asked most often. We advise from your level, who is travelling with you, and the atmosphere you want. Annupuri: wider runs, gentler gradients and slopes that are more even from side to side, which is friendlier for a first time on snow and for building a steady base; the surrounding accommodation is mostly Japanese onsen hotels, and the area is quiet. Hirafu: plenty of restaurants, shops, bars and nightlife, with a livelier feel, suited to guests who want to eat and browse, or who are travelling with someone who does not ski; the area is split into Ace Family, Ace Gondola and King Gondola, and the right meeting area differs for beginner skiers and beginner snowboarders, so we line that up for you in advance from your discipline and your accommodation. Hanazono: next to Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono and Nikko Style Niseko HANAZONO; whether lessons can be held in this area depends on the resort's rules for the season, which we confirm for you before arranging anything. Rusutsu and Kiroro: if you want to ride a second resort or plan a trip across different conditions, these can be worked in as well.

Planning the trip around what you need
Planning the trip around what you need
For larger groups, longer stays or trips across more than one resort, the team can put the lessons and the itinerary together. We line up lesson days, the combination of resorts, accommodation and transfers into one smooth run of the day, and set the pace of the lessons around whether you are skiing or snowboarding and the range of levels in the group; where someone is not skiing, we can also point them to food and places to rest near the resort, so the whole party's timings still line up.
