Hello, I am Ken. I am from Hong Kong and now live in the UK, where I teach snowboard and ski lessons at an indoor slope. I have seen just about everything that can happen to someone on their first day, so I can spot the problem quickly, treat the cause, and save you the wasted effort. My time in the sport started with a working holiday year in Niseko. One run and I was hooked. Since then I have ridden at several resorts in Europe and seen different snow and terrain, and all of it feeds back into my teaching. I hold BASI Snowboard Level 2 and Ski Level 1 instructor qualifications. On a snowboard I focus on riding technique, carving, freestyle and park jumps, and I am strong on movement analysis; on skis I specialise in teaching beginners and taking you from zero to riding the whole mountain with confidence. I love this sport, and what draws me to teaching is that the instructor and the student get that sense of achievement at the same time — every moment you improve is a success for me too. In lessons I treat students as friends, teaching and swapping stories as we go, which makes learning easier. Come and ride with me.
